Update!
Hallo,
Soooo, once again, I sort of fail on the journal writing front, oh well. One of these days I'll get it down to some consistency. But yeah, just thought I'd write an update of stuff that has been going on.
The summer was pretty awesome, complete with a 3 week trip to Poland (my first time in Europe)! Many of the photos I have posted within the last month or so have been from that trip...and I am sort of just continuously editing different ones from that as time goes on.
I've now started my senior year (of high school...ohhh, fml). I'm taking AP Studio Photography, so hopefully that will force me to come up with some new, and exciting
It's been forever dA...
Helloooo,
So it's been like 4 months since I have done a journal because clearly I am just a failure at staying current with these things, haha.
I guess I've just been really busy with gymnastics now going on (actually, finishing up soon), and with second semester starting and all. I have a ton of stuff I've been meaning to put up...a few of them I have. It's been a sort of dry past couple months for photography for me :( But I've had some great success at a couple of contests through my school:
"Hear No Evil" won a Gold at the Scholastics Art Competition at the state/regional level.

And I won a first place in the phot
Ohhh November!
Hello world, how are you today?
Soooo...I'm really pumped because I just got an AMAZIZIZING idea for the Wacom contest going on right now - WOO! I'm so glad that the theme is "dreams" for this one because I have been prepping to begin a surrealism series, and this fits perfectly.
And I'm extra stoked for my studio portraits I get to shoot next week (many of which I will be using for surreal manips). They're gonna be great.
Anywho, I have a damn Spanish essay to write...in Spanish. Damn AP Spanish 4. BUT, it's about Dalí and surrealism! ¡Qué bueno! ¿Es una coincidencia? Yo no lo creo ...
OH! And please, please, PLEA
Silence Feature
SILENCE.
Thanks everyone for submitting your art for this feature. I know I had said the original theme was the "oppression of silence", but I decided it was too...specific, yet broad at the same time? So I decided to just call this the silence feature.
I was glad to see so many different takes on the theme, and the different emotional ways of representing the idea of "silence". It was also cool to see different medias of art.
So, here are the pieces:
